This is a acid etched brass section of the Hades Landscape miniature created by the EEG model shop. This is one of the more intricate pieces.
The whole scene was created using a forced-perspective table-top miniature. The detail comes mainly from rows and rows of acid-etched brass silhouettes created from hand crafted designs. Those etchings were supplemented with model buildings and structures between the brass silhouette rows. Lighting was added through the use of fiber optics allowing for all the windows you see in the scene, as well as helping to define the pyramid in the background. The flames were created in a car park at night. This piece originates from the collection of Derek Van Lint, Cinematographer on'Alien' (1979), and colleague of Blade Runner director Ridley Scott. The piece comes with a certificate of authenticity from'Propabilia'.
