Commando Cody King of the Rocketmen Republic Pictures Original Helmet

Commando Cody, King of the Rocketmen, Radar Men from the Moon, Zombies of the Stratosphere- Original Dave Sharpe Stunt Helmet. Legendary Stuntman Dave Sharpe's Rocketman helmet from the Republic Pictures serials and films. The story goes after a "take off" of the Rocketman, early in the series, Dave Sharpe broke his nose on the faceplate of one of the hero helmets, and then produced his own stunt helmet from one of the helmets, replacing the full visor with a mesh version, so he could see- and not break his nose again.

This is the only stunt helmet ever used in the films and can be seen in virtually ever episode. Helmet is in unmodified, mint condition just as it was in the 1950's.

Sharpe's name clearly visible on the inside. Visor is still functional with original hardware.

Modified military tank helmet liner is intact on the interior. He owned it for about 20 years, before I obtained it from him. Classic rare prop from the Golden Age of serials.
