This item is located in Massachusetts. Costume swatch displays from the screen used costume worn by Kane Hodder in Friday the 13th - Part VII - The New Blood (Paramount 1988). When the Museum received the screen used costume worn in Friday the 13th Part VII some years ago, there were some cloth swatches or better said fabric stripes loosely and wrapped up with the rest of the costume. I noticed that the costume itself has many of these pieces glued to it. And some must have fallen off over the last 30 years since filming.
When I talked to someone from the production I was told the costume got damaged the more Kane put it on and off during the filming process. He had a heavy "skin suit" beneath these clothes and it was a little stressy to get into the ripped trousers and shirt each time with that undersuit on. Since the clothes were thinned out quite from that process they managed to attach extra stripes here and there prior to the takes. Originally I wanted to find screen caps where one can match these exact swatches so I could have re-attached them to the costume at the right place but sadly the dark, blurry scenes did not make it a successfull task. Actually I`m not a big fan of the swatch displays out there where one cut up a costume but in this case I think we go the right way.
Well, these four Jason cloth pieces are now framed up in neat displays (15" x 13") with a COA from the Friday The 13th Props Museum and are waiting to find a new home in a killer collection. This is your chance to own a real piece of Jason from this film. The item "Friday The 13th New Blood. Screen Used Costume Swatch Display" is in sale since Wednesday, September 13, 2017.
