Exceptional, Vintage 1950's Original Photograph featuring superstar actress Audrey Hepburn. The Belgian-born actress is an iconic example of a gamine and the first to be accepted as overpoweringly chic.

Hard to believe but Audrey Hepburn once commented that she never thought she was pretty enough to be in movies. Hepburn is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful woman of all time and the 20th century by numerous polls. Against the gender stereotypes of the time, her popularity presented an alternative to voluptuous sex symbols such as Marilyn Monroe or Elizabeth Taylor, with an image that appealed more to young women than to men. The photo was used in newsprint publication at the time and has a newspaper clipping with a SEP 23 1953 stamp date on the reverse.
