Frankenstein is a 1931 American pre-Code. And adapted from the play by Peggy Webling.

The resultant monster is portrayed by Boris Karloff. The movie stars Colin Clive. And Karloff, and features Dwight Frye.

The Webling play was adapted by John L. And the screenplay written by Francis Edward Faragoh. With uncredited contributions from Robert Florey. The make-up artist was Jack Pierce.
