Marilyn Monroe Owned/Worn Halter Sequin Bead Dress from Stylist Sydney Guilaroff

This is a very nice condition 50's Hand Beaded and sequined Gown that was owned and worn by actress Marilyn Monroe. This item is from the Personal collection of late hair stylist Sydney Guilaroff and Marilyn's close friend.

He is best known for designing all the hair style for Breakfast at Tiffany's and working in the industry since the 1930's. He has been close friends with Legends from Garbo to Crawford to MM. The winner of this item will receive a letter signed, stamped and notarized in 1995. It states how he worked with Marilyn and remained friends all through the years and how she gave him this Gown to add to his collection. It Measures Bust 36, Waist 26 and Hips 36.

There are no labels in it which leads me to believe it was a designer original. The eye and hooks could use some work and the zipper was replaced with a current metal one. Sydney displayed this for years on a mannequin and then my uncle Jose did so the zipper broke from all the wear. This is a beautiful Item from a Fashion and one of the original Sweater Girls, Don't miss out on it. Despite what Marilyn "Experts" say Sydney Guilaroff had a temperature controlled storage unit which he kept all of his treasures that he did collect from all of his famous clients/friends.

I know this for fact because I was related to his long time partner. He inherited all these treasures when Sydney passed on.
