"Creature from the Black Lagoon". This is a rare 1:1 life-size rotocast "Gill Man" creature mask resin casting. This resin casting was taken from an original Land Version mask for the 1954 Horror classic "CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON". Responsible for the original handiwork was Universal's Bud Westmore and his extremely talented crew: Milicent Patrick, Jack Kevan, Chris Mueller, Bob Dawn, Tom Case, Bob Hickman and many others who spent over 8 ½ months into devising a menacing, and believable creature. The casting was made as a preservation technique to capture, and maintain the "original mask's" integrity before deterioration set in. This 1 to 1 life sized white resin casting is Approx. 17 ½" x 14" x 16.
