The gown is actually 2 pieces hooked together and can be used and separates. Gown worn by Dona Drake in the 1948 Universal drama Another Part of the Forest. Based on the Lillian Hellman play, it starred Fredric March, Dan Duryea, Ann Blyth, and Edmond O'Brien. Drake plays Duryea's girlfriend, and she wears the gown when he brings her home to a family party.
She proceeds to drink too much and has an altercation with March. The upper lace bodice and sleeves were removed after she wore it for use in a later production. The gown was designed by Yvonne Wood. There are 2 handwritten areas inside the gown her name as seen in the photos.
