Grosset & Dunlap Publishers New York 1931. Released in 1931 with the movie, this book features photographs from the movie. What makes this book especially noteworthy is that it contains the original jacket, which is still very presentable. The jacket also protected the book as the book cover is in almost pristine condition!!! The jacket features a smaller version of the theatrical movie poster. The book is 8.25" x 5.5". Light wear to the jacket, mainly around the edges with minor chipping which you can see in the photos. The previous owner put some small pieces of tape on the upper edge of the inside of the jacket, and a small piece of tape on the outside hinge by the front flap, but all of this is hardly noticeable!! The jacket has been placed in protective Mylar.

The book cover is in beautiful condition with very minor wear. Clean interior with an address label on the first end page.

The 2nd blank page has a newspaper clipping / photo pasted on the inside of the head of Frankenstein. It is the identical image as the frontispiece, just from a newspaper. This does cause slight discoloration on that page, and the opposite page. The book has a light musty scent but I will be airing it out in the meantime. This is a very difficult book to find with the original jacket!!
