Hero Laser Beacon used in Star Trek Continues

This replica was built from a long out of production, very limited run kit by the infamous DStines and is considered the ultimate, accurate replica of the Laser Beacon There were two of these props used on our show and this one was used during the early part of production. This is a truly awesome, heavy piece with a thick resin body, turned aluminum bezel and turned 1-piece solid acrylic emitter.

It was painted with automotive paint and looks great but shows a few scrapes and nicks from production use (see photos). The prop shape is accurate to the original prop and has the correct latching switch. The updated lighting is powered by a 9 volt battery to light the blue/white LED light.

The battery is concealed inside the body, accessible from the aluminum bezel which is secured via an allen screw. The prop was seen in multiple episodes of the original Star Trek series and this prop was used in multiple episodes of Star Trek Continues.
