It is Kong's right hand. I used to work at the studios here in Wilmington, North Carolina and I obtained it there right from the storage area on the backlot. The left hand was destroyed and no longer exists. Be the envy of your Kong collector friends!

It stands about 9 feet tall. Weighs a couple hundred pounds I would guess. The hydraulic systems are there, but after 41 years, time has not been kind to them and they would need replacing if you wanted to get it working again.

The superstructure, or frame of the hand is made of aluminium and is in fine shape. Each finger is made to articulate and move freely, as the wrist bends also. So, either as is, or some rebuilding and TLC, you can have probably the only true, original, movie used King Kong hand in existence. The rest of his body has also been destroyed and no longer exists, so this is the only piece left, but what a collectable piece it is! Or, I might be able to deliver to you.
