NOT A REPRINT OR A PHOTO-COPY! Extremely rare 14" X 36" National Screen Service "insert card" poster from. The first sequel to Universal Pictures' "Creature From the Black Lagoon" (1954). This ad campaign features the amazing art of the inimitable Reynolds Brown , considered by the studios at the time, to be the best of the best.

A rare piece of genuine, theater-displayed, vintage 50s sci-fi art , this poster has loads of "Gill-Man appeal, " much like the original 1954 ad campaign. There's an enormous image of the Gill-Man , lots of terrified citizens, fleeing the escaped monster's havoc, etc. Bold image with lurid colors & screaming tag-lines!

This piece truly captures the heart and soul of the U. Please look carefully at the magnified photo close-ups and carefully read the description of the poster's condition under item specifics. Poster is in GOOD+ condition (see grading scale in "item specifics/condition"). There is masking tape residue on the borders, three corner tip tear-aways, clear tape over back-side folds, etc. (all visible in the photos) These flaws can be removed, restored, etc.

Through a linen backing service, if you want to research it. All colors are still bold and bright. This insert poster looks much more beautiful when framed, of course.

I considered having it linen backed before listing it, but ultimately decided to list it in its original condition. It will be mailed via U.
