Spider-Man 3 Screen Used Venom Symbiote Costume With Animatronics
Topher Grace Venom original symbiote costume with animatronics in his back from Spider-Man 3. The unforgettable dark alien suit abandoned by Peter Parker (Toby Maguire) and later found by his humiliated co-worker Eddie Brock (Topher Grace).
This is the alien symbiote costume worn by Venom the ultimate nemesis of Spider-Man. The design of an evil twin to Spidey proved more complicated and challenging than expected. The signature honeycomb texture and defined musculature would be lost in the shadows. But adding just the right amount of blue to the suit helped to preserve these features. Developing a special Plastisol compound, not quite gelatin, not quite plastic, to coat the materials, added sheen and dimensionality to the final suit. The suit is constructed of black and cobalt full-body and head mesh jumpsuit, with molded rubberized mesh applique web pattern affixed over head, torso and integral boots and hands. With cast resin claws imbedded in each finger of the integral gloves. Cast foam latex gray rubber approximately 12 x 11 in.Spider-Man insignia affixed to the front chest and approximately 15 x 13 in. The Venom head includes plastic one-way mirrored lenses set into the mask (made larger than the regular Spider-Man lenses for further contrast in character). Also includes a set of screen-used prosthetic acrylic Venom character teeth. The suit and components are mounted on a custom display mannequin with heavy metal stand.
Tall and 20 inches in width. There is a label inside the back of the costume with V-11 F on it that we presume is for production purposes. There is a flap at the back of the costume that has a zipper in order to put the costume on and off and access the animatronics.
However this does not fully close and will need some attention at the bottom. If you look them up on Google or YouTube you will find further details and videos showing the making of many of these. We can provide a letter from Frontline showing some of the items weve bought.
We had several costumes - this is the last one. This item can be picked up in Los Angeles if local. We have used them for many years and they do pack items really well. We could also remove the costume from the mannequin if you prefer.
