Star wars storyboards Empire Strikes Back movie props HOTH LUKE TAUNTAUN Art X1

Here we have an original production used storyboard from the original EMPIRE STRIKES BACK Star Wars film. As you may have noticed these look a little different than some of my other storyboards/others you may see on the internet. This is because these are the early first draft/concept art storyboards used to create the final versions! 2 binders were full of your standard storyboards you see in my store and around the web. The binder containing these was a complete surprise. Stuff like this doesn't come around very often/may never again. Once this binder is gone then that could be it.

Its really cool to see some of the early wardrobe/costume designs in some of these boards. It's a rare glimpse into the early production stages of one of the best Sci-fi films ever made, Another cool things about a good number of of these boards is that they are hand dated? /78 roughly 2 years before the film even came out.. These storyboards are not reproductions or later copies.

They were used during production/on set by one of the top special effects artists of all time (Phil Tippett) as mentioned. ONCE THEY ARE GONE THEY ARE GONE.
