Vintage Original 1969 Scream Free! AKA Free Grass Movie Poster 36 x 24 King Dot
Here we have a very (if not impossibly) rare original poster for the classic movie Scream Free which is also known as Free Grass. " This particular version is a custom psychedelic rendition of the original movie poster and features a colorful mix of pink, purple, blue, yellow and green, with design credited to "King Dot. We have looked all over for a comparable to this poster, and have not been able to find anything, which leads us to believe it is a rare early version of the poster. Poster presents as having been well cared for, with no pin holes or disturbances to the image.
Only two minor tears around the bottom border are present, and some minor discoloration through out, consistent with storage. Released on December 1st of 1969, Scream Free! An'Easy Rider' - inspired plot with the combination of "West Side Story" stars. Richard Beymer falls in love with Lana Wood (sister Natalie wasn't available).
They need cash so they agree to help Russ Tamblyn and his gang smuggle grass from Mexico to L. When Beymer objects to narcotics agents being killed, his long-haired pal from the Jets puts LSD in his drink, tries to burn him alive, and has Lana kidnapped.
With Bing's son Lindsay Crosby, Joel's son Jody McCrea and deejay Casey Casem. Directed by Bill Brame ('The Cycle Savages'). Poster presents as having been well cared for, with no pin holes, creases or disturbances to the image. Only two minor tears around the bottom border are present, and some minor discoloration mostly around the border with lesser amounts well camouflaged within the image. Overall this poster is great and in prime condition for display and/or collection.
The poster is currently backed by a board and sealed in plastic. Just let us know if this is your preference before paying.
